Good cigar @ a reasonable cost. Delivery within 2 days. Even w/ that they had to be re-hydrated to obtain maximal enjoyment. It is the nature of the West in which summer humidity is extremely low. It is why a normal humidor is ineffective here. If your in the West (coastal regions excepted) place your cigars in a lock tight plastic bag w/ a moistened paper towel and you'll get the mellow smoke your epecting.

The La Vieja Habana brand is Drew Estates low end brand but by their ratings not mine. This is an excellent value cigar-medium body (if you desire a stronger cigar order the Madura wrapper) excellent long leaf giving a 1 1/2 inch ash before falling off. Excellent draw because of the quality rolling of Drew Estates.Tips for newbies: With the extremely low humidity in western states place the cigars in a zip lock with a moist paper towel-not as cool as a humidor but it will keep them better. Re-wet the towel every 5-7 days. May not look cool but will sure keep your smokes sweet if you live in a dry clime. Also periodically exhale through the cigar to blow the nasty juices that can creep toward your mouth away-they will move to the heat and dry up. Will add to your cigar enjoyment and allow you enjoy their sweetness though out the smoke.

I really wanted to order the Tabak Especial which is my favorite cigar. Unfortunately they were out of stock and they convinced me to buy these cigars which they said were popular. I also bought a box of Acid Kuba Kuba which I like very much. First time buyer I wish I could return these cigars. I could smoke these but when I smoke a cigar I really like to enjoy the flavor. I smoked 2 cigars in case I didn't get the flavor on the first time but I didn't enjoy them at all. Live and learn.

Along with purchasing my favorite brands I often buy sampler packs in order to try new cigars in small quantities. About two years ago these La Vieja Habana Connecticut Luxo's were included in a sampler. They immediately stood out from the other brands. These are very consistent with a mild flavor and smooth taste. They have become my everyday smoke ever since. Living in the Northeast I smoke th
