Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve cigars are the first cigars from the popular Rocky Patel brand to break into the Top 10 cigars in 2009, as rated by Cigar Aficionado. The cigars, available in two different wrappers - a Corojo and a Maduro - are packed with well-aged Nicaraguan long-fillers bound with a Nicaraguan binder. The full-bodied, full-flavored and complex cigars are made in two sizes - Toro (6 ⅓ x 52) and Robusto (5 ½ x 54).
The cigars come wrapped in either a dark and oily Costa Rican Maduro wrapper or a mild and thin Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. Either way, the cigars are a unique combination of the complexity of a Rocky Patel Vintage cigar and the strong flavors of a Rocky Patel Edge cigar. The cigar starts off with notes of sweet cocoa and nuts, and blends in undertones of coffee and wood before the flavor of spice takes over, giving a medium to full-bodied smoking experience. The box-pressed cigars ensure an even draw and nice burn.
Handmade in Honduras, the Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve cigars are a perfect example of an enjoyable cigar. Described by Rocky Patel as ‘a full-bodied cigar on steroids’, the cigars were part of the ‘Best of the Best 2007: Cigars’ list compiled by the luxury lifestyle magazine, Robb Report. With a tight construction, an interesting blend of flavors and a pleasant smoke, these cigars will surely be a great addition to your humidor.
