Alec Bradley MAXX Cigars

Alec Bradley MAXX is as big on taste as it is in size. This blend is stacked with the largest vitolas yet from this famed brand, and they did not hold back on packing them with flavor.
These premium, hand rolled cigars use select fillers from four incredible countries- Nicaragua, Honduras, Colombia and Mexico, bound with a rare Costa Rican binder. The wrapper is an attractive Maduro Nicaraguan leaf that is dark and oily and holds together a hefty cigar that is a smooth, medium to full bodied smoke. Complex notes of earth, sweetness, espresso, wood, toast and spice delight the palate and linger long after these slow burning cigars are finished. The Alec Bradley MAXX rightfully earned a high 91 rating from Cigar Aficionado and is available in the Culture (Churchill), FIXX (gordo), Freak (gordo), Nano (petite corona) and Superfreak (gordo) sized vitolas.

At the time, traditional, smaller ring gauge cigars were en vogue. As an innovator, I wanted to buck the trend. My challenge was to create a line of large cigars with maximum flavor and satisfaction at a great value.”
MAXX is a large format cigar showcasing tobacco from four Latin American countries: Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. The wrapper is a dark oily Nicaraguan Maduro while the binder is an exotic and aromatic Costa Rican leaf. MAXX is made by Nestor Placensia at El Paraiso in Honduras.
The MAXX Brand
MAXX houses five vitolas in its line. Even though they’re maxxed out sticks, Alan Rubin upheld his commitment to outstanding quality, great flavor, and unparalleled value.
The smallest ring range in the brand is 46 and the largest is 60 while the length varies between 4” and 8 ½”. Vitolas are:
-
Maxx Super Freak (8 ½” x60)
The band features the name MAXX written in white, against a black background with the last letter X filled in red. As the name is written along the length of the cigars, the rest of the band is mostly white but features the company name beneath the brand name but in a considerably smaller font size.
Flavor
These medium to full bodied cigars are hefty in both weight and flavor. Expect earthy notes of wood and leather, coffee, toast, some sweetness, and a lingering spicy highlight. Some BOTL and SOTL may deem these a little too much for a novice and they’re right. MAXX cigars pack quite a punch but they are in no way overwhelming for a seasoned cigar lover. All they are is a strong, satisfying smoke that burns evenly.
