A Good Times 4k Mango Cigarillo Kind of Afternoon

A Good Times 4k Mango Cigarillo Kind of Afternoon

Good Times 4Ks Cigarillos

A 4k afternoon

Good Times has long been known for their cigarillos and the 4K line which is made with their select filler tobacco blend is no exception. Good Times is also known for their flavor infusion technologies that ensure the flavors feel natural and blend in well with the tobacco smoke. Typically, I don’t smoke cigarillos as I prefer a premium cigar but the flavors that are offered in the 4K line caught my interest enough to warrant a try.

It’s summer time in Miami and that means swelteringly hot days and balmy nights. It also means it’s my favorite time of year, mango season, and because of that I started out trying the mango flavor. I packed my thermos with some fresh fruit juice from Palacio De Los Jugos, grabbed a few different flavors of the foil packs and headed out to Museum Park to enjoy a beautiful, sunny afternoon by the waters of Biscayne Bay.

After opening the pack the first thing I noticed was the amazing fruity smell. It was sweet but not overpowering and it was unmistakably mango. The cigarillo was well constructed and firm and didn’t have any tobacco coming out from the end when I took a draw as I’ve noticed can happen with other brands. The first few puffs produced a good amount of smoke and the mango flavor was perfectly balanced with the mild tobacco. It was sweet and tangy and didn’t have any imitation flavor taste that I’ve been disappointed by with previous cigarillo encounters. I spent a good 20 minutes enjoying this smoke while watching the tourists enjoying their leisurely afternoon.

I was glad I had brought a few flavors to try with me because it had turned out to be a perfect afternoon to relax outside in the shade of the palm trees. To stay in the “summer flavors” theme my next choice was watermelon. As with the mango the watermelon smell was pleasantly sweet and fruity when I opened the pack and the construction of the cigarillo was perfect. I had a bit of a harder time getting this one lit but after the second attempt it came to life with a smooth sweet smoke that had a nice aroma. The watermelon flavor turned out to be a much better pairing with my fruit juice than the mango flavor had been and I ended up finishing the cigarillo and my juice rather quickly.

As the afternoon quickly faded into the early hours of the evening I decided it was time to head back home but I still had one more flavor with me and I knew it would be perfect to enjoy with a traditional Cuban coffee. As I had anticipated the vanilla flavor was perfect with my coffee. The cigarillo came out of its package as perfect as the previous sticks, and the smell of vanilla was enticing. The pairing of the vanilla and the smooth tobacco with the Cuban coffee was delicious and I was pleased. The afternoon had been perfect and so had the 4K cigarillos.

If all my cigarillo experiences had been as pleasant as this I might be more of a fan than I am now, but the 4Ks, with their sweet flavors and smooth tobacco, have given me a reason to question why I don’t smoke a flavored cigarillo more often.

Have you had the chance to try these yummy smokes yet? If you have, let me know what you thought in the comments below. I look forward to hearing about your experience.
