H. Upmann 1844 Anejo Toro has earned an incredible 91 rating. Anejo, Spanish for old, is a fitting name for the blend that utilizes a three-country medley of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican tobaccos all aged for five years. The finishing touch is a dark and oily Ecuadorian Habano leaf wrapper. The result is a medium to full bodied blend with notes of wood, leather, earth and coffee and caramel. It's hard to believe that for this cigar industry giant originating in Cuba in 1844, this is their first aged blend, but the wait was worth it. H. Upmann 1844 Anejo Toro measures 6 x 54 and is available in boxes of 25 cigars.
