MUWAT Cigars
The Muwat story begins in 2010 during a Cigar Safari tour and is the first collaboration between Drew Estate’s Subculture line and Joya de Nicaragua.
The blend was created by Jonathon Drew and is hand-rolled at the JdN factory. The name was inspired when JD began referring to the hefty 6x60 style as his Uzi and the story goes that when he was picking up the bundle of 50 he stated “Damn, my Uzi weighs a ton!” and after much laughing the name officially became Muwat.
The Muwat is a well packed cigar with a perfect burn and draw that offers a thick flavorful smoke that is bold but not too strong in body. The dark and oily San Andres maduro wrapper perfectly complements a hefty amount of Nicaraguan and Brazilian long-fillers bound with a smooth Connecticut ‘Capote’ binder.

The dark and oily San Andres maduro wrapper perfectly complements a hefty amount of Nicaraguan and Brazilian long-fillers bound with a smooth Connecticut ‘Capote’ binder. The cigar is rich and hearty with a series of bold and balanced notes that include licorice, semisweet chocolate, earth, leather, pepper, and sweetness. The finish is clean and lingers a few moments as if readying the taste buds for the next wave.
Muwat cigars have plenty of flavor to please the experienced smoker, but are smooth enough for a relatively new cigar fan wanting to take it to the next level.
