Honduras produces some of the best full bodied handmade cigars like Alec Bradley and Camacho Corojo. Over the years, Cuba has developed the reputation for having the best cigars in the world; but the Honduran cigars are really giving their Cuban counterparts a run for their money.

Honduran cigars are made with the robust Cuban and Connecticut seed tobacco leaves grown in the Jamastran, El Paraiso, and Talanga valleys. These regions have rich, fertile soils that allow the proper nurturing of full bodied tobacco that is highly sought after. The Honduran tobacco is well known for its high quality, earthy, peppery leaves with a little citrus tang.

Honduras is a Central American country that shares a border to the South with Nicaragua. The two countries share climatic and topological features that produce some of the best tobacco in the world. In the 1970’s, a civil war was raging in Nicaragua and the top cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua had to move to Honduras. Todate, Honduras produces cigars that cut across all flavor levels.
