Oliva Serie G is a mellow, medium bodied cigar made by Oliva Cigars. It is an exquisite, delicately trunk-pressed cigar that showcases subtly spicy Nicaraguan Habano sun-grown fillers and binder. There are two choice wrappers for this blend: one is a delightfully aromatic, dainty Cameroonian leaf while the other is a dark, toothy, deeply flavorful Connecticut Broadleaf maduro leaf.

A Little History

Oliva Cigars got into the premium cigar business at the tailend of the cigar boom. To etch a place in the market, they had to create exceptional blends and sell at below average costs. During this period, Oliva Cigars released Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon which was soon followed by a Maduro counterpart.

After being in the premium handmade cigar business for 11 years, Oliva Cigars rebranded their entire portfolio to create uniformity across the brand.  So, in 2006, the Grand series came to an end and a new “Serie” formula began. Oliva Serie G Cameroon took the place of Oliva Grand Cameroon and Serie G Maduro came shortly after to replace Grand Maduro.

Oliva Serie G is rolled at Tabacalera Oliva de Nicaragua S.A. It comes in  nine vitolas including two that are not box pressed: specifically Toro Round and Double Robusto Round. They are:

Oliva Serie G is a highly acclaimed blend with special recognition from top cigar reviewers like CA and Cigar Snob. The Figurado got a 92 rating from Cigar Snob while the Robusto won the Best Cigar of 2006 according to CA.

Oliva Serie G Cameroon is a decadent medium bodied cigar and home to warm toasty nuts, coffee, cedar, wet earth, and the typical subtle Nicaraguan spice.

The Maduro version is awash with dark chocolaty notes, coffee bean, earth, leather, pepper, and charred wood. And ofcourse it wouldn’t be a maduro without the signature maduro sweetness, earthy finish, and nicotine rush.
