Renowned authorities in the cigar world like CA use the 1-100 rating criteria with 100 being the highest rated. Other reviewers use 1-5 with 5 being the highest rate. When we are talking about 90+ rated cigars, we mean the highest rated cigars in the industry. 

In truth, there’s no cigar that ever clocked 100 rating seeing that there’s a lot of factors to consider. Cigars are rated based on many factors including intensity, construction, flavor profile, ash, smoke output, finish, draw, balance, and consistency just to mention a few.
