Ashton VSG Cigars
Ashton Virgin Sun Grown cigars, or Ashton VSG, is a super premium blend with sticks earning a range of accolades. The Ashton VSG Corona Gorda earned a high 91 rating by Cigar Aficionado while the Ashton VSG Illusion earned a remarkable 94 rating. The Ashton VSG line of cigars are one of the best from Ashton, so that's saying a lot. Only the highest quality aged Dominican tobaccos and Ecuadorian shade grown leaf taken from the highest primings are utilized for this blend.
Hailing from the Dominican Republic, these cigars feature an exquisite blend of Dominican tobaccos aged four to five years wrapped in a gorgeous reddish brown Ecuadorian sun grown leaf wrapper that is oily and sweet. The result is a creamy and smooth full bodied smoke exuding notes of vanilla, coffee, spice and a buttery finish. Nothing short of perfection, Ashton VSG cigars are a must have for any aficionado's humidor.

Ashton VSG: The Blend and Tasting Notes
VSG is an acronym for Virgin Sun Grown. Ashton VSG is named purely for the wrapper which is an exquisite and exotic Sumatra-seed leaf grown under the cloud covers of Ecuador at the foot of the Andes.
Unlike the other Ashton cigars that use tobacco grown by the Fuente Family, Ashton VSG uses a wrapper grown exclusively for the Fuente Family by the Oliva Tobacco Company of Tampa, Florida. Oliva Tobacco Company is not to be confused with the recently acquired Oliva Cigar Co. The wrapper is picked from the high primings for a stronger, more flavourful profile.
Ashton VSG uses the most-prized, prestigious Dominican tobacco aged four to five years as filler and binder. These are then wrapped in the shimmering Ecuadorian-grown Virgin Sun Grown wrapper.
The result is a lustrous and decadent blend featuring notes of dark chocolate, nuts, damp earth, dark cherry, leather, caramel-like sweetness, a hint of ground pepper, mint, wood, cream, nutmeg, citrusy zing, espresso coffee, spices, and walnut
This coveted blend has remained consistent for the last decade plus with a plethora of accolades including a slot in CA’s top cigars of 2020 with a staggering 94 rating.
Ashton VSG is rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia and comes in 12 vitolas.
About Ashton Cigars
Robert Levin, the founder of Ashton Cigars got an early start in the cigar business. When he was still in grade school, Robert Levin used to work in his father’s cigar store, Holt’s Cigar Company, sweeping and tidying up. Later, he inherited the cigar store and went on to grow the business exponentially.
Before begetting Ashton Cigars, Robert Levin had been in the tobacco and cigar business for decades. But he wasn’t satisfied with the quality of cigars in the market back then. He wanted a cigar he could enjoy. So, in the late 1980s Robert Levin in collaboration with the Fuente Family released the first Ashton cigar which kicked off a now worldwide highly acclaimed boutique cigar company. The Fuente Family makes all Ashton Cigars at the Tabacalera A Fuente y Cia. The Ashton Cigars portfolio also includes Ashton Classic, Ashton Cabinet, Ashton Symmetry, and Ashton Aged Maduro among others.
