Backwoods Original Wild and Mild Cigars were introduced nationally in 1981 and they were a hit from the very beginning. These cigars are flavorful, mild and perfect for the outdoors. Their airtight foil pouch and rustic look only add to their macho mystique.
While Backwoods cigars come in many different varieties, unique styles and tastes, their original blend is extremely popular among those who conform to the ‘rugged male’ stereotype. These cigars feature a tapered body, a frayed end and an unfinished head—all of which traditionally hold great appeal among outdoorsmen. Additionally, these cigars come with a foil, airtight pouch which retains moisture and prevents them from drying out, thereby preserving their unique taste and aroma. Moister than usual and made from premium tobacco, these cigars are loaded with sweet and aromatic flavors. They come in 8 packs of 5 and offer a decidedly mild smoke.

I love the cigarsbut the smaller packages are anywhere from six to seven dollars a pack and most of the time the cigar has a hole in it and you have to try and patch it up to smoke it and most the time it dosent work0 or they just fall apartkinda spending to have all this happening dont you think.but i do love them.

I've been smoking your cigars for a few months now and every time I buy a package I have to throw out at least two or three of the cigars. They have holes in them and you can't drag on them. All you get is air!!! I really like the taste of the brown package and black package but I feel I'm waisting my money. Do you have any suggestions?SincerelyJohn M. Jennings

have purchased your products since 1995 and I feel that I have grown with your company. However this past 2years have been a damn jip. First you decrease the number of BW's we get in a packthen your prices has risen from $1.95 to over $7.00 totally obserd. Now the last 3 packs I have purchased all are thin and have holes in them (useless). Me along with a Facebook of others are fed up. Can't continue to buy your product with a satisfaction guaranteed seal on the back when they are useless to me and ontop of that once you open them and find that hey are raggedy or STALE it's a no refund policy with the retailers. NOW WHAT DO I DO? Signed one unhappy customer.

I have enjoyed hundreds if not thousands of these cigars. However in recent orders there seems to be one or two cigars in each pouch that has wrapper imperfections which makes the draw difficult to impossible.

I have enjoyed hundreds if not thousands of these flavorful and unique cigars. However I wonder if quality control is what it used to be. Can pretty much count on at least one cigar in a pack of five will have a defective wrapper which causes it to burn improperly and makes it hard to smoke. Also preferred the packs of eight - which seem to no longer be available.

this was once a great product but when the price saturated at a max they reduced the count from 8 to 5 so that they could continue to creep the price up. they have now exceeded the value price point.my suggestion: go back to an 8 count and stop getting greedy with the price.

I too have purchased these cigars for years. I also am disappointed with the smaller packages. Size of the foil pouch does not seem any different. They just put fewer in each pouch. Did notice that some suppliers still offer the packs of 8 - but not sure if it is new inventory.
