Avo Syncro Caribe, a Symphony of Caribbean Flavors

Avo Syncro Caribe, a Symphony of Caribbean Flavors

The Davidoff of Geneva-Owned Brand AVO

The Davidoff-owned brand AVO is one of the most prestigious tobacco brands currently in existence. It was established more than a century ago, in 1911, and its long and successful history is one of the major contributing factors to the brand's prominence. Davidoff of Geneva owns several tobacco brands, including AVO. This ownership of other tobacco brands adds to its prestige and popularity in recent times.

The AVO Syncro Series

AVO Cigars has not introduced a new blend in four years, but all that changes with the AVO Syncro series. The AVO Syncro Caribe is another chapter in the Syncro series blend. The AVO Syncro Nicaragua, AVO Syncro South America Ritmo, and the AVO Syncro Nicaragua Fogata all laid the groundwork for the next step forward for the Syncro series blend.

The Syncro Nicaragua was released in 2015, the Syncro Nicaragua Fogata came out in 2016, and the AVO Syncro South America Ritmo followed it a year later in 2017. The AVO Syncro includes a particular focus on Caribbean lifestyle, rhythm, and flavors. As you might have guessed, the name makes this clear, since the Spanish translation for the Caribbean is Caribe.

Where & How The AVO Syncro Caribe is Made

AVO can trace its roots back to the Dominican Republic and the AVO Syncro Caribe emphasizes that in how it is made. AVO blended Dominican tobaccos along with other excellent tobaccos from the Caribbean to highlight their 'Natural Distribution' process. According to AVO, this means that any specific plant's tobacco proportions are matched perfectly during its blending process. The tobaccos' ratios from every single priming are matched up in each of the vitolas.

As you might have guessed, the AVO Syncro Caribe is made in the Dominican Republic. More specifically, it is made in the OK Cigar Corp, Inc. factory in the Dominican Republic. The AVO Syncro Caribe was created using regular production at this factory.

The Types of Tobacco Used in the Avo Syncro Caribe

As previously stated, there are multiple types of tobacco used in the AVO Syncro Caribe. One type of tobacco used in it is Dominican tobacco. However, tobacco from both the country of Nicaragua and the country of Ecuador is used in the AVO Syncro Caribe, as well. As a result, you are likely to experience many great flavors when you smoke this cigar.

The wrapper is made using tobacco from the Dominican Republic and the binder is created using tobacco from the nation of Ecuador. Additionally, you should also know that the filler was made by combining tobacco from both Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

Smoking the Avo Syncro Caribe Pre-Light

The AVO Syncro Caribe's cold draw gives you some earthy notes in addition to some zesty tangerine notes, too. You can smell a hint of spice, earth, and molasses from the cigar's foot. The cigar gives you a bit of the familiar and a bit of the pleasantly unexpected, too. The first puff of the cigar provides you with a sweetness that is reminiscent of plums.

First Third

As you smoke the first third of the AVO Syncro Caribe cigar, the retrohale makes the aforementioned sweetness even more noticeable. After you have smoked a half-inch into the cigar, you will notice a note of split-top bread and a hint of graham cracker flavor, as well. You get some nutty notes and a sort of zesty tangerine flavor from the cigar's finish.

Mid-Third

One thing that you will notice as you get into the second third of the cigar is the plum sweetness is gone. Citrus is the most noticeable flavor note of the second third of the AVO Syncro Caribe. However, you can also pick up on some hints of mocha, earth, and nuts, too. The retrohale of the second third gives you plenty of nutty flavor and some hints of a spicy nuance.

Final Third

The flavor profile changes once again as you get into the final third of the cigar. A hint of mocha compliments the overall strong earthy flavor notes. You can notice some hints of nuts and the retrohale enhances these nutty flavor hints. The finish of the Avo Syncro Caribe's final third is somewhat short and gives you an earthy hint, a note of spice, and some additional nutty flavor, as well.

The AVO Syncro Caribe is an Unmissable Premium Cigar

Cigars made by AVO are popular among many cigar aficionados. These cigars shared a few characteristics in common, but barnyard flavor notes are one thing that remained consistent from cigar to cigar. However, if you want a departure from the expected, this AVO cigar delivers just that. The flavor notes that you get from the AVO Syncro Caribe cigar are certainly interesting and they add to an overall enjoyable smoking experience.

The AVO Syncro Caribe is unique in that it is different, but it also harkens back to the roots of AVO. In that way, the cigar both defies expectations and pays homage to its history all at once. If you're an AVO smoker looking for a new smoking experience from your favorite cigar brand, the AVO Syncro Caribe is a good choice for you.

The AVO Syncro Caribe is five inches long and has a ring gauge of 50. This cigar is a Robusto-sized cigar. These cigars come in coral and teal boxes of 20 cigars and the boxes' colors do draw your attention. The 20 cigars are arranged in two rows and include a dark wrapper from the Dominican Republic. The band shares similarities with the box because of its colors and the AVO logo, of course. You'll feel the firmness of the cigar and its ample weight, too.
