Steps for Filling Your Butane Lighter
Butane Lighters are renowned as the absolute best choice when it comes to lighting up your favorite cigar. Cigar aficionados know that there are other options when it comes to igniting their smoke like matches or other lighters. However, Butane lighters are considered to be the best. These lighters pair well with premium cigars. These lighters typically come in an array of different stylish and artful designs. They are perfect to have for yourself and make great gifts too.
When you order one of these lighters, you must keep in mind that they ship without the liquid already inside the lighter. Your favorite cigar deserves to be enjoyed fully and a great lighter definitely helps.
Here are the steps to properly fill your Butane lighter in anticipation of your smoke:
1.)Choose a well ventilated area to fill your lighter.
2.)The first thing you need to do is turn the lighter upside down. You will then need to change the flame height adjuster to the lowest setting (minimum). If you are having difficulties turning it, this could be a sign that it is either already on the maximum or minimum setting. If that happens, just try and turn it in the opposite direction.
3.)The next step is imperative. Make sure that there is no air inside the lighter. You must get the air from the inside out. If there is any air trapped inside the fuel tank, the lighter can actually end up malfunctioning. This happens because the air stops the Butane from being injection into the tank. To get the air out you must get a screwdriver and push the refilling valve. You can also hold it upright and depress the gas release button. You will then hear a hissing sound which means that the air is being released successfully .
4.)Now it is time to insert the Butane gas. Make sure you shake the can well. Then you must press the refill stem on the refill valve. The valve is on the bottom of the lighter.
5.)To fill the lighter with the gas, make sure that the lighter is still in the upside down position. Hold the Butane can in a straight position and fill the lighter with the gas. This typically takes around 5 seconds to fill. If you need more , you can repeat the process.
6.)Check if the lighter is cold. If it is cold that means that it was filled properly.
7.)Now, you must let the lighter sit until it reaches room temperature.
8.)You have reached the final step! All you need to do is turn the flame height adjuster back to the desired height. The height of a good flame should be 1 to 1 ½ inches (2.5 – 3.8 cm).
9.)Test the lighter. If there are any issues with the ignition, just follow the steps again and add some more butane.
10.)Now it is time to simply ignite and enjoy.
