Gotham Cigars is active in providing to various charitable organizations. We providing for the homeless in our local community, donate thousands cigars to our soldiers deployed overseas, and ship desperately needed items to orphanages in under developed countries. Our employees at Gotham Cigars, via our parent corporation, Governors Distributors, are inspired to assist in worthy causes on a global scale. We view our involvement with various charities as an extension of the service ethic that lies at the heart of our business. We encourage good citizenship by supporting organizations that cultivate meaningful opportunities for civic engagement by our employees and members of the community. Gotham Cigars Participates in Miami-Dade County Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Gotham Cigars is regularly active in giving back to the community and participating in charitable events. When the opportunity to participate in the 11th Annual Miami-Dade County Walk Now for Autism arose numerous Gotham Cigars employees jumped at the chance to participate.

The 11th Annual Miami-Dade County Walk Now for Autism Speaks gave residents in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area an opportunity to join the walk to help change the future of all of those who struggle with autism. The annual event offers its participants the opportunity to raise much-needed revenue to fund vital research that will lead to the answers needed to better understand this developmental disorder.

"The Miami-Dade County Walk Now for Autism Speaks is an annual event that we were very happy to have participated in this year," said Stephanie Sitko a Gotham Cigars Customer Service Representative. Ms. Sitko continued to say, "Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder in the country, and I am glad that Gotham Cigars sponsored a team of us to participate in this fund raiser."

February 27th celebrated the 11th anniversary of the Miami-Dade County Walk Now for Autism Speaks and saw $447,772 raised in donations to support the cause.

Gotham Cigars Participates in Susan G. Komen 5k Race for the Cure

Gotham Cigars is regularly active in giving back to the community and participating in charitable events. When the opportunity to participate in the Susan G. Komen 5k Race for the Cure arose numerous Gotham Cigars employees jumped at the chance to participate. 

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure gave residents in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area an opportunity to join the fight against breast cancer by running or walking a full or half 5k. The Race for the Cure offers its participants the opportunity to raise much-needed funds in support of Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer. 

“The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is an annual event that we have done for the last three years,” said Stephanie Sitko a Gotham Cigars Customer Service Representative. Mrs. Sitko continued to say, “Breast Cancer is becoming a growing epidemic in this country, and I am glad that Gotham Cigars sponsors a team of us annually to participate in this fund raiser.” 

October 16th celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Race for the Cure and saw over 21,000 participants mostly wearing pink. The goal this year was to raise about $3 million. With more participants this year it seems that that goal is with in reach.

Gotham Cigars Donates Thousands of Premium Handmade Cigars to American Troops Deployed Worldwide

Miami, FL April 16, 2009-- Gotham Cigars announces the donation of thousands of premium handmade cigars to our American Troops deployed abroad. It has been over six years since our troops have been fighting for our freedom overseas. Cigars are considered the number one requested item from our Troops. As a token of their appreciation, Gotham Cigars would like to express their gratitude by providing our soldiers overseas with some of the finest handmade cigars. 

Gotham Cigars , through its parent company, Governors Distributors, gives back to the community on a regular basis. This includes the donation of much needed clothes, toys, canned goods, and computers to various orphanages in El Salvador. In Addition, Gotham Cigars firmly believes in giving back to different causes such as their yearly commitment to combat homelessness in Miami through the Miami Rescue Mission.

Gotham Cigars Donates to Haitian Relief Fund

During these troubled times in Haiti one cigar company has been able to lend support to the devastated country. Gotham Cigars has been able to donate clothing and other essentials as well as obtaining a monetary match donation from Altadis U.S.A. Inc.

As the horrible effects of Haiti's massive earthquake where being reported by the media; many Americans and American based companies where scrambling to help in relief efforts to the shaken country...
