New World Dorado The Gold Standard Sampler features a selection of all five sizes of the 94 rated Dorado blend that debuted in 2022. Included is the newest size in the highly rated blend, the Corona. The blend utilizes the golden leaf tobaccos from AJ's Dorado farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. Dorado, meaning gold in Spanish, is the unusual color of the rich soils on the farm that lend the tobaccos their golden hue. What makes this blend even more special is that it utilizes the first harvest of tobacco from the farm he acquired in 2017. The fillers are a blend of tobaccos from the Dorado farm as well as his farm in Condega and Esteli. The binder is Criollo '98 while the smooth, golden wrapper is a sun grown Cuban-seed wrapper both from the Dorado farm, forming a full bodied smoke. These box pressed beauties have already earned an exceptional 94 rating.
