So, presenting a good cigar was not going to cut it. Oliva had to create an outstanding smoke and sell it at great value. So, from the get go, Oliva had to create better than good blends to survive.
Secondly, thanks to a long history of tobacco growing, Oliva already had tons of perfectly aged Nicaraguan tobacco. Fortunately for them, the cigar world was just discovering Nicaraguan tobacco. So, Oliva Cigars was perfectly positioned to present the best of Nicaraguan tobacco blends. This ultimately marked Oliva Cigars as the principal cigar company in blending Nicaraguan tobacco.
