Good-bye Summer, Welcome Fall

The dog days of summer are behind us and Fall is officially upon us, and some may be wishing we had more time in the sun before the sweaters come out. Of course in Miami, we won’t feel this change for a few more months, but with this change occurring seemingly everywhere else, comes the changeover of seasonal flavors and products. I can only imagine what it might be like to sip a pumpkin latte on a cool fall night, or to light a fire in your fireplace while under the comfort of blankets.

So as summer has come to an end, so too has the exciting tropical flavor from White Owl Cigarillos, Tropical Twist. I enjoyed smoking these this summer while sitting by the water, the fruity taste and aroma complimenting a cool beer or a fruity cocktail. The lingering flavors of mango, pineapple, coconut and kiwi were a delightful treat on a hot summer day. I’m sure it would be nice to continue this flavor into the fall and winter so you can sit back and enjoy a smoke and think back to those warm days at the beach or enjoying a cold beer with friends. But, as is the case, the tropical flavors of the summer are out with the first days of fall ushering in those new and familiar tastes.

Replacing the Tropical Twist flavor of the summer is the White Peach flavor. With a sweet and mild flavor, these cigars are the perfect size to be enjoyed day or night. I decided to give the new flavor a try while out for my morning walk with my neighbor. I usually save one of the two cigars in the resealable foil pack, but on this morning we smoked one together. The sweet peach is a pleasant and mild experience and left a great taste on my lips that could easily be paired with coffee or a strong drink. What I love about White Owls is the aroma of the smoke, and as we walked past others taking their walks with their dogs we were asked what it was that we were smoking. We happily replied and went on our way. Since these are a great cigar and an even better price, I tend to give them out to my friends and neighbors whenever they ask, so I left my neighbor with a couple of foil packs. I smoked one again later that evening and realized the White Peach is not a bad cigar to smoke while relaxing, waiting for that first cool fall breeze to come across Miami.
