Avo Uvezian, A Life Well Lived

Avo Uvezian is a legend, a myth, a force to be reckoned with. On April 11^th, Avo celebrated a personal milestone, his 90^th birthday. In his own words, "I turned 90 years old, but that could happen to anybody," Avo said. "People always ask me, ‘Avo, what's your secret?' And I tell them that every time you smoke cigars, you have given yourself another day of life. I think I'm going to be doing this until I'm 99 years old. That way, when I get to 99, I'll say, ‘Well, I might as well go to 100.”

Sadly, Avo Uvezian passed on March 27th 2017 just 2 days after celebrating his 91st birthday. Even though we were deeply saddened by his passing, we are honored to have known this great man because he was a fountain of wisdom and insight. For this reason, today we shall be discussing Avo and his philosophies on life and cigars

Uvezian explains his philosophy on life and cigars 

In his words, “For 90 years now, I have enjoyed life to the fullest, everything it has to offer,” said Uvezian in a press release. “Still, my favorite times are sharing conversation and special cigars with my fans… Life is only as good as the people you share it with. I always say, it’s not about the legacy you leave. It’s about the one you share.” Uvezian has a powerful legacy ranging from music to cigars. One thing is abundantly clear; cigar aficionados are pleased to have enjoyed Avo's passions, music and premium cigars.

To commemorate the life and legacy of Uvezian, Davidoff released their Classic Covers. Davidoff explains that the main difference is that the 90^th blend is composed of vintage blends specifically the Corojo-Olor hybrid which are aged 10 years to perfection with 11-year aged Criollo.
