Not only did Stanford implement the larger gauge size to allow for the complex multi tobacco blend, but he also knew that the Diamond Crown Cigar was so special that it needed an exclusive Connecticut Fermented Wrapper (CFW) that would need to go through a "second curing" process to even and develop the Rosado color of the tobacco wrapper. This double curing process is a large factor that accounts for the Diamond Crown Cigars smooth, sweet, rich flavor.
