Blackened by Drew Estate is a passion project made by two cigar enthusiasts and one industry heavyweight who came together to create a powerhouse of a blend. This collaboration is headed by Jonathan Drew, the founder of the Drew Estate brand, James Hetfield, Metallica co-founder, singer and guitarist, and Rob Dietrich, the Master Distiller and Blender of BLACKENED American Whiskey, all friends who share their love of cigars.
Blackened M81 is an ode to maduro tobacco and features a hearty core of Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf Maduro binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and the boldest Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro tobaccos for the filler. The wrapper is thick and oily Maduro wrapper grown in the rich volcanic soil of Mexico’s San Andres Valley.
The result is a bold, rich and powerful yet not overpowering blend brimming with notes of espresso, leather and dark chocolate in a medium to full bodied smoke. Debuting in December 2022, this powerhouse blend is already the talk of the town. Blackened M81 by Drew Estate is available in four vitolas in boxes of 20 cigars.
